Original Cassette Liner Notes:

This collection represents music that comes out of home recordings during the 80's. Some of the songs are original demos to the songs that later appeared on my albums. There's a loose demo of the song "You" which Michelle Pillar recorded on her album.

When I first got a 4 track recorder in 1980, I wrote a lot of tunes and March Of The Clouds was among the first. It was later that decade recorded on the Wind and The Wheat album which Tommy Coomes produced for me.
Track 3 was written for my Aunt Kay--my mom's sister.
Track 10 was was recorded on the Town To Town album eventually in '81.
Bernadette sang with me on this demo.
Track 12 was written in the mid 70s and this vocal version was my concern about hunger and the children who suffer. An instrumental version of this song appears on Master and The Musician under the title Golden Halls.
Tracks 1 and16 are demos I wrote and then later recorded for the Getting Closer album.

There's also a song written in 1983 by Peter York and I when we were doing concerts together. It's called "Year After Year". It talks about how friends need to lift each other up in prayer. I hope you enjoy this collection of Back Room Trax.
