This new collection of recordings came about this past May, 2021, in my studio with fellow musicians Tony Gerber, Shannon Hayden and Kyle Jones. In similar fashion to our January 2020 recordings, we played live together in the studio and only one song on this project ("A Day In May"), did we add a snare drum overdub and an extra electric lead part toward the end. Aside from that one song, every song was recorded live without overdubs. Both Shannon and I incorporated our loops while we played live and Tony would often create a sustaining atmosphere with his keyboards while playing live flutes or harmonica.

I think this is a very special recording! All of us contributed to each other in each composition. I am pretty proud of these players: Shannon‘s amazing gift on cello, Tony’s diversity in the atmosphere he creates with his instruments and finally, but not least, kyle Jones’s amazing expertise on percussion. I sure hope you will take the time to take in without distraction this beautiful and sonic experience.
